CORCOVADO & TIJUCA TOUR

Corcovado and Tijuca After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel. The tour begins in the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas except on days on our way to reach the Cosme Velho Train station, which sits at the bottom of Corcovado Mountain. Here, we will take the ride up to the top, through the dense Tijuca rain forest to the 38m tall (125ft) Christ Redeemer Statue. With a panoramic view from the top, the guide will show you the spectacular sights of Rio and the surrounding countryside for approximately 40-60 minutes. After riding the train back down, passengers are returned your bus will take you to Zona Sul and a Lunch. Duration: 4 hours. Return to your Hotel. Overnight in Rio. SUGAR LOAF TOUR

In the morning, you will be driven to Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: Sugar Loaf. DOWNTOWN, SAMBADROME & MUSEUM TOUR

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken through downtown for a panoramic tour. See the Sambrodome, stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral and discover the Cinelandia Square and its wealth of historical buildings. The Municipal Theater, National Library, and National Museum of Fine Arts are all on your way as well as you. Maracanã: Behind the Scenes- How about feeling like a soccer star entering the field? Discover the legendary Maracana and get behind the scenes of the most important stadium in Brazil. From the Press Tribune to the Locker rooms zone, through the Honor Grandstand, Booths and a collection of relics of the stars who made the history of the temple of world football. Get ready for an exciting journey, exploring its history with videos, sounds and different experiences that will last forever in your memory. You will visit many interesting points, such as the São Bento Monastery, Candelaria (the candle-makers), Praça XV, the “Travessa do Mercado”, Imperial Court, the cultural centre located in the beautifully restored Banco do Brasil, the Casa França-Brasil, Ouvidor (the listeners) Street and Gonçalves Dias Street with the traditional Colombo Coffee Shop. Then down Uruguaiana Street, Carioca Square up to the Metropolitan Cathedral where From Cinelândia you will be taken to Santa Teresa and you will see the Lapa Arcs (Arcos da Lapa) a former aqueduct, there is a tram line is temporarily deactivated. From there the little cobbled streets invite you to be acquainted with the charming neighborhood of Santa Teresa. The neighborhood has a complete different vibe from the rest of Rio. Here Old Rio comes alive. Santa Teresa is a neighborhood where casualty and tradition meet. It is full of artists who find in Santa Teresa an inspiring scenery and way of life that helps them create their art and work on their craft whatever that is. At night, it hosts bohemian crowd of Rio, which dodge the most popular places and go for the lesser know little spots amongst Santa Teresa’s inspiring architecture. In Santa Teresa there is a wild variety of interesting places to get to know. From the Ruins Park (Parque das Ruínas) where you get to see one of the most beautiful views of the lesser known Rio, to the random exhibits organized by the different artists’ workshops around the neighborhood. Santa Teresa’s treasured little secrets behind as you walk down the stairway steps to reach Lapa. The beautiful steps done in ceramic by artist Jorge Selarón are one of a kind. The Chilean Selarón was in love with Rio and that love shows on these very steps. The pieces of ceramic were placed on top of the paintings done by the locals who were decorating the stairs in show of support for the national soccer. Return to your Hotel. Overnight in Rio. Free Night Meals: Breakfast OPTIONAL Rio by Night School of Samba A samba school is a club or dancing school. They practice and often perform in huge square-compounds (“quadras de samba”) devoted to practicing and exhibiting samba, an African-Brazilian dance. The schools have a strong community basis and are traditionally associated with a particular neighborhood. Rio is called Samba City (Cidade do Samba). It’s because it has the best Carnaval and also, the numerous Samba’ Schools. The most important event is Carnaval and each school’s parade may consist of about 3,000 performers or more, and the preparations, especially producing the many different costumes, provide work for thousands in Brazilian society. The resulting competition is a major economic and media event, with tens of thousands in the live audience and screened live to millions across South America.

BUZIOS CITY TOUR

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Buzios. Búzios is a charm and elegant village located two hours from Rio de Janeiro city. When you get to this paradise, you will be able to enjoy and see the most beautiful beaches and islands of the region. You are going to appreciate the view, swim and take a lot of great pictures. You will be at agua das Pedras, a street made of rocks or in the vicinity that is the main street of the town. It is a place for shopping or to simply enjoy a walk through the Orla Bardot (Bardot Edge) and the beautiful view of Praia dos Anjos (Angel Beach). Stop for lunch (included). After, you will return to your hotel, around 16:00. Overnight In Rio. Free Night. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch OPTIONAL Rio by night with Show with Dinner: Here you will be able to Listen to music and watch Samba dancers in the show. It is a 2-hour nightly recreation of Rio’s infamous Carnaval. Watch talented performers in outrageously colorful costumes and a Capoeira (Brazilian martial arts) demonstration with the accompaniment of live percussion. Dinner included. Return to your hotel.
