Activities

 

Day 1

Upon arrival at Quito International Airport, meet your local representative for your transfer to your accommodation.

Your guide will provide an introduction to the journey and information about the experiences ahead.


Day 2

Discover the highlights of Quito, beginning in one of South America's largest and best-preserved colonial centres.

Visit Independence Square, La Compañía de Jesús, San Francisco Church and Monastery, and enjoy panoramic views from the Panecillo.

Continue to the Quito Botanical Garden, showcasing Ecuador's remarkable biodiversity, including orchids, Amazonian vegetation and high-altitude páramo flora.

Later, journey north of Quito to the Middle of the World, where the northern and southern hemispheres meet. Visit the main monument and the Intiñan Museum.


Day 3

Journey south along Ecuador's spectacular Avenue of the Volcanoes towards Cotopaxi National Park.

Travel through the national park to Limpiopungo Lake, located approximately 3,800 metres above sea level, with magnificent views towards the snow-capped Cotopaxi Volcano and surrounding páramo landscape.

The journey also includes a selected local cultural experience, which may feature a traditional market, local family experience or rose plantation.

Continue to Baños de Agua Santa, known as the Gateway to the Amazon and famous for its waterfalls and dramatic natural setting.


Day 4

Experience the spectacular Waterfall Route of Baños, following the Pastaza River through one of Ecuador's most beautiful natural landscapes.

See Agoyán Waterfall and the elegant Manto de la Novia, before visiting the magnificent Pailón del Diablo (Devil's Cauldron), where water plunges approximately 80 metres into the dramatic gorge below.

Continue through the Andes to Riobamba, surrounded by some of Ecuador's most impressive volcanic landscapes.


Day 5

Travel to Ingapirca, Ecuador's best-preserved Inca archaeological complex and one of the country's most important pre-Columbian sites.

Explore the ancient ceremonial complex and its impressive Temple of the Sun, learning about the site's importance to both the Cañari and Inca cultures.

Continue south through beautiful Andean landscapes to Cuenca, celebrated for its elegant colonial architecture and cultural heritage.


Day 6

Discover the historic centre of Cuenca, visiting landmarks including San Sebastián, Calderón Park, the Flower Plaza and the impressive Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Learn about Ecuador's famous Toquilla Straw Hat, commonly known internationally as the Panama Hat, before visiting the Tomebamba River area and enjoying panoramic views from the Turi viewpoint.

Continue towards Guayaquil with a scenic stop at El Cajas National Park, a spectacular high-altitude reserve containing more than 200 bodies of water.

Arrive in Guayaquil, Ecuador's largest city and an important gateway to the

Transfer to Guayaquil Airport for your flight to the spectacular Galápagos Islands.

Upon arrival on Santa Cruz Island, explore the highlands, where Giant Tortoises can be observed roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Continue to the Charles Darwin Research Station, an important centre for conservation and scientific research. Visit its tortoise breeding centre and learn about the unique species and ecosystems of the archipelago.


 

Day 7

Transfer to Guayaquil Airport for your flight to the spectacular Galápagos Islands.

Upon arrival on Santa Cruz Island, explore the highlands, where Giant Tortoises can be observed roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Continue to the Charles Darwin Research Station, an important centre for conservation and scientific research. Visit its tortoise breeding centre and learn about the unique species and ecosystems of the archipelago.


Day 8

Set out on a navigable excursion to one of the remarkable islands or islets surrounding Santa Cruz.

Depending on the confirmed programme, the excursion may visit Bartolomé, North Seymour, South Plazas or Santa Fe, each offering its own distinctive landscapes and wildlife.

Discover volcanic scenery and extraordinary species that may include sea lions, land iguanas and remarkable birdlife.


 

Day 9

Continue exploring the extraordinary Galápagos archipelago with a second navigable excursion.

Visit another nearby island or islet, offering a different opportunity to experience the archipelago's remarkable wildlife, marine environments and volcanic landscapes.

The specific destination is determined according to the confirmed programme and local operating conditions.


 

Day 10

At the scheduled time, transfer to Baltra Airport for your flight back to Guayaquil.

Upon arrival in Guayaquil, meet your representative for your transfer to your accommodation.


 

Day 11

At the scheduled time, transfer from your accommodation to José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport for your onward journey.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Airport Arrival
Arrive at the airport 3–4 hours before departure to allow sufficient time for check-in, security and formalities.

Flight Changes
Flight schedules are subject to change. We will advise you promptly of any changes communicated to us.

Passport & Travel Documents
Passports must generally be valid for at least 6 months prior to departure. Passengers are responsible for ensuring they hold all required passports, visas, permits and other travel documents and comply with applicable entry and transit requirements.

Hotel Check-In & Expenses
Hotel check-in is generally from 2:00–3:00 PM, with check-out by 11:00 AM–12:00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and possible charges. Personal hotel expenses must be settled directly with the hotel.

Transfers & Pick-Up Times
Transfers operate according to scheduled pick-up times. Please be at the hotel lobby or designated pick-up location, as advised, at least 10 minutes before departure. Missed transfers may need to be rearranged at the passenger's own expense.

Tours & Attractions
Tours operate according to scheduled itineraries and missed activities are generally non-refundable. Attractions may occasionally close or become unavailable; suitable alternatives will be arranged where possible.
