Brazil Carnaval Parade
“One of the biggest street party and most well attended events in the world!”
Overview
The main attraction is the Samba Schools’ Parade. The schools are divided between 2 groups, the Access Group and the Special Group. The schools in the first group compete for a place at the Special Group, while this last group features the 12 most prestigious and famous ones, who will compete for the Champion title. These 12 schools parade on Sunday, February 11th and Monday, February 12th for the title.
While samba schools are focused in the competition, all over the city, at any time of the day or night, the “Blocos” bring to the streets joyful and endless popular parties. Rio offers also a selection of great and traditional Carnival balls.
