BELO HORIZONTE CITY TOUR
After breakfast, our guide will show the best of Belo Horizonte. Belo Horizonte is internationally known as the “capital of neighborhood bars.” Every year, the city hosts the Comida de Buteco festival (“Pub Foods”, in an approximate translation), in which a panel selects 41 bars to be visited, and then elects the one with the best appetizers using the theme ingredient of each year. Minas Gerais’ cuisine is famous for its traditional dishes, like pão de queijo, feijão tropeiro, tutu de feijão, pork ribs, chicken-and-okra (served with a rich, brown gravy and rice) and other usually heavy, comfort-like food. The city also abounds with pizza places, barbecue houses, fine restaurants of various nationalities and other options. Our tour starts at The Pampulha Lagoon. Then we will visit the architectural complex of Oscar Niemeyer and Casa do Baile, the church of São Francisco. After, the guide will head on to Mineirão Stadium, Casa de JK, the ex-president of Brazil, and the Museum of Modern Arts. Continuing our tour, you will be transfer to the Liberty Plaza, also known as Praça da Liberdade. Later, move on to the Pope Plaza, also known as Praça do Papa, and the Mangabeiras viewpoint. Passing the Afonsa Pena Avenue where the Arts Palace, Automobile Club, Music Conservatory, and Central Park await. Finish your tour at the famous central market, known for its souvenirs and typical food and drinks. Break for lunch at 01:00 pm at one of the local eateries. After Lunch, we will visit the Botanic Garden. Transfer for your Hotel. City tour (8 hours). Overnight in Belo Horizonte. Free Night.

THE CHURCHES CITY TOUR
After the breakfast, you will be transferred to Ouro Preto.
Churches City Tour:
Ouro Preto was the first Brazilian city to be declared a Historical and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It was possible because the colonial houses and the rich churches that make up the largest architectural ensemble of Brazilian baroque. Our tour will begin taking you to Saint Francis of Assisi Church, considered the masterpiece of Brazilian colonial art, designed by Aleijadinho, who also author of the Lavabo da Sacristia. It is made of soapstone. The ceiling was painted by Master Athayde. On leaving the church, you will see the street market of soapstone. Then we will go up the street to enjoy Tiradentes Square, the most important plaza of the city. Behind it, you will find the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, one of the last designs of architect Manuel Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho’s father. All built in the Rococo style. Then we’ll visit the Church of Our Lady of the Pillar. The incredible amount of gold altars and rich details of these altarpieces are the ultimate examples of Brazilian Baroque. In the six side altars are represented by each of social groups of the time. After, in the Historical Centre, we will visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Blacks. The project’s origin is still a mystery, and the rounded shapes will attract your attention. Inside, there are altars dedicated to black saints and just a few of gold. Overnight in Ouro Preto. INCONFIDENCIA TOUR
After the breakfast, our guide will show you The Inconfidencia Museum. It is installed in the building of the former Town Hall and Jail. In the pantheon of Inconfidência are the remains of 16 conspirators. In the next room you will find the supposed wooden beams of Tiradentes, where he was hanged, and the original book with the statement of his conviction. After, we are going to another interesting place called the Casa dos Contos. It was the former home of weighing and smelting of gold extracted in the region. It was where the gold was turned into a bar and returned to the owner. In this process, 20% of the amount was deducted in the form of taxes. The site also served as a prison for conspiracy. In the basement, where it was the slave quarters, there handcuffs and other instruments used to torture slaves. Then, you will visit the oldest theatre in Brazil still in operation: the Municipal Theater, also known as Opera House. After this historical tour, we will go back to the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and find the Oratory Museum.
