AIRPORT PICK UP
On arrival in Trujillo you will be assisted and transferred to your hotel.
City tour
In the afternoon, you will start your tour walking through the main streets. There are mansions and architectonic masterpieces expressed in the diverse style of construction. The most common is the neoclassical and rococo. After, you will continue visiting the archaeological complex El Brujo. It was one of the most important religious and political centers of the Moche culture (100 – 750 AD) and also, one of the most beautiful pyramids that they had built in the Chicama Valley. The most of the walls are decorated with high relief representations using different colors. Overnight in Trujillo. Free Night.

FULL DAY HUACA DE LA LUNA TOUR
You will start visiting the archaeological complex of Huaca de la Luna. It is an ancient pre-Columbian civilization center that was blossomed in the region for more than 700 years. There, you can observe their monuments, buildings and the landscape marked with the imposing Cerro Blanco, the vegetation that grows by the river Moche and proximity to the sea. Both Huaca de la Luna and Huaca del Sol were the centre of the Mochica’s power( dated between 100 and 900 AC). After lunch, you will go to Huanchaco, a traditional cove whose inhabitants still maintain some customs from their ancestors, the Mochicas, like the totora horses (“caballitos de totora”). This tradition dates back from more 3000 years ago. Your next stop will be at Chan Chan (from Muchik Jang-Jang, “sun-sun”), which is the largest pre-Colombian adobe city. Chan Chan is a majestic citadel built hundreds of years ago by the skilled hands of hundreds of men. It was declared a World Patrimony by the UNESCO in 1986. You will be transferred to Chiclayo. Overnight in Chiclayo. Free Night.

SICAN TOUR
After Breakfast, you will start your journey at Sican National Museum. There you will learn more about Peruvian Culture. The next point is the Historical Sanctuary of the Forest of Pomac. You will begin to understand the mystical and sacred source of dry forest. The vigorous forest is the oldest and best preserved equatorial dry forest. There is not only conserved species of endemic flowers and wildlife but also the highest concentration of Temples-Mausoleum of the Sicán Cultural Core of Lambayeque, Hispanic culture. Also, you can find ceremonial knives called “Tumi” and the magnificent funerary masks, masks of Winged Eyes. From there, you will visit “the millenary tree”. The tree is more hundreds years old and has being an icon of veneration for the local populations. Afterwards, you will visit the Salinas, a place that will allow you to appreciate a panoramic view of the ecological character of the forest, and also to understand its integration to a whole cultural system, biological, and ancestral in Lambayeque. Continuing, you will view the Lambayeque culture, also called Sicán. You will walk through the Community of Pomac III. During this visit you will appreciate The Peruvian Native Cotton (Gossypium barbadense) established as a legacy the ancient Peruvian people left to the world. Those color fibers techniques are still used nowadays, and it is dated for more than 5.000 years. On this visit you will appreciate how these artisans do all the process of transformation of fruits into art. Afterwards, you will visit Tucume and the Valley of the Pyramids. The Pyramids are spread on 220 hectares. Tucume is the biggest Archaeological Opencast Complex in the world, in the middle of an arid desert with a beautiful dry forest. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Chiclayo.

HUACA RAJADA TOUR
After breakfast, you will visit Huaca Rajada, the place where the Lord of Sipán was discovered. Actually, the Lord of Sipan was a member of the Moche dynasty and the archaeologists tried to find out who exactly he was. According to recent excavations, it seems this man was the fourth character in the hierarchy. Stop for Lunch. After lunch, you will visit the National Museum Tumbas Reales, whose design was inspired by the Mochica truncated pyramids. The Museum is listed as the most modern in Latin America and one of the ten best in the world. The Royal Tombs Museum shelters real gems of Mochica art and keeps the remains of the old dignitary of Sipan. Return to your hotel. You will be transferred to the Airport.
