Activities

Day 1

Upon arrival in Chachapoyas, meet your representative for your transfer to your accommodation.

Settle in and prepare to discover the fascinating archaeological heritage and spectacular cloud forest landscapes of northern Peru.

Day 2

Journey through the Chachapoyas countryside to discover the extraordinary Sarcophagi of Karajía.

These remarkable two-metre-high clay funerary figures were constructed by the ancient Chachapoya people and dramatically positioned on a limestone cliff overlooking the surrounding landscape.

Explore the site with your guide and learn about the fascinating funerary traditions of this ancient civilisation before returning to Chachapoyas.

Day 3

Discover Kuélap, one of the most important pre-Inca archaeological complexes in Peru.

Journey through the spectacular cloud forest before reaching this impressive fortified settlement. Following a short uphill walk, explore its massive stone walls, circular buildings and decorative friezes while learning about the ancient Chachapoya culture.

Return by cable car before travelling back to Chachapoyas.

Day 4

Travel to the community of San Bartolo, where you will begin a scenic hike of approximately one hour to reach the impressive Revash Mausoleums.

After exploring this fascinating archaeological site, continue to Leymebamba for lunch before visiting the renowned Leymebamba Museum.

The museum houses 219 preserved mummies and more than 2,500 archaeological artefacts, including textiles, ceramics, wooden carvings, decorated gourds and Inca khipus. Return to Chachapoyas following the visit.

Day 5

At the scheduled time, meet your representative for your transfer to Chachapoyas Airport for your onward journey.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Airport Arrival
Arrive at the airport 3–4 hours before departure to allow sufficient time for check-in, security and formalities.

Flight schedules are subject to change. We will advise you promptly of any changes communicated to us.

Passport & Travel Documents
Passports must generally be valid for at least 6 months prior to departure. Passengers are responsible for ensuring they hold all required passports, visas, permits and other travel documents and comply with applicable entry and transit requirements.

Hotel Check-In & Expenses
Hotel check-in is generally from 2:00–3:00 PM, with check-out by 11:00 AM–12:00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and possible charges. Personal hotel expenses must be settled directly with the hotel.

Transfers & Pick-Up Times
Transfers operate according to scheduled pick-up times. Please be at the hotel lobby or designated pick-up location, as advised, at least 10 minutes before departure. Missed transfers may need to be rearranged at the passenger's own expense.
