Activities

Day 1
Upon arrival in Cusco, meet your representative for your transfer to your accommodation.
Take time to settle into the historic capital of the Inca Empire and prepare to discover its remarkable cultural and archaeological heritage.

Day 2
Explore historic Cusco on foot, beginning at Plaza de Armas and seeing the famous Twelve-Angled Stone.
Continue into the artisan neighbourhood of San Blas, followed by Plaza Regocijo and Plaza San Francisco before finishing at the colourful San Pedro Market.

Day 3
Discover the extraordinary Inca and colonial heritage of Cusco.
Visit Coricancha and Cusco Cathedral before travelling into the surrounding hills to explore Sacsayhuamán Fortress, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

Day 4
Depart Cusco and travel through the magnificent Andean landscapes to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodation and prepare to explore one of Peru's most historically significant regions.

Day 5
Begin in picturesque Chinchero, exploring its Inca agricultural terraces and historic colonial church.
Continue to the Living Museum of Yucay, where traditional textile, ceramic, silverwork and adobe techniques are demonstrated.
After a typical lunch, visit magnificent Ollantaytambo Fortress, renowned for its monumental stonework and dramatic terraces.

Day 6
Transfer to Ollantaytambo railway station and board the train through the spectacular Andean landscape to Aguas Calientes.
Continue by bus to legendary Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Explore the extraordinary Inca citadel with your guide before returning to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Afterwards, travel by train to Ollantaytambo and continue by transfer back to Cusco.
